OLIVER NELSON FT. HEIR - FOUND YOUR LOVE

When it comes to my journey of getting into Scandinavian music, I can never ever ever leave out Oliver Nelson. He is certainly one of the key figures that inspired me into this genre.
I first knew this nu-disco Swedish DJ from his remix of Ghost by Ella Henderson. It amused me how he was able to turn a song full of soul and blues into a nu-disco groovy track, which led me into discovering more of his music.
So during that time he hasn't got a Spotify profile yet BUT I found a Spotify playlist solely dedicated to his remixes, by user Amos Lomai. You can check out the playlist here:
After listening to most of his remixes, you can hear a similar style of uplifting, happy, giddy beats with a sprinkle of glitter dust. Most importantly, he exudes a strong individuality in his music that separates him from the mass.
Annnddd this year January I finally got to listen to his debut original track! (I know it's a bit late but who cares!) In this track, Oliver Nelson still remains his signature nu-disco style that makes it an irrestible dance number. In addition, Heir a.k.a. Skogsrå did a great job in executing the vocals for this song.
I'm not one to technically breakdown this instruments used for his music but all I can say is, all of his songs has never failed to hit my sweet spot for music, LITERALLY. I have yet to say "Stop it this song is making me sick!"....maybe after replaying it a million times. Maybe the next time when someone asks me what's my favourite genre, I'll just reply Oliver Nelson.
The music video for this track showed a couple going through their day, strolling down the streets of Barcelona with a very spring/summer vibe (I secretly adore her fashion style). It added nothing but enhanced the sweetness and happiness of this tune. Just like one YouTube user's comment sodamnhyphy fiveoneo puts it, "This is the tune you walk down the street listening to that makes you feel like a million fuckin bucks!" I can't give a more perfect description for it.
